Most of us knows Alexa as a benchmarking place for your web rank and traffic. But, i found another interesting tool on Alexa, The Wayback Machine which very useful to trace your domain historical in the past. As you know, i own this domain – pandu.web.id recently, which means somebody owned it in the past.

By using the Wayback Machine, I could trace it back starting from January 1996 up to Jun 2008.

March 2007 – this domain as a free classified ads site (situs iklan baris gratis).

July to October 2007 as e-commerce site, Pandu Handbags – where we offer fashion handbags (That’s what i got from Technorati as well).

Last Dec 2007 – PANDI (Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia) – the Indonesian Domain Registration Authority informed this domain validity was expired, therefore it’s available for new registration.

And that’s where the journey began.
